This is the 2D Environment Art I created for "The Adventures of Deadly Dawg".
This game was created for Indigenous youth aged 5 - 14 for DDACL: Dandenong and District Aborigines Co-operative Limited. It's published as a web game on Itch.io, as well as on the website of the client.
THE TEAM:
PROGRAMMING/ VFX: Jackson Wall, Ithing Prayitno, Annalise Valastro
2D ENVIRONMENT/BG ART:  Annalise Valastro
2D CHARCTER ART: Ithing Prayitno
UI ART/ANIMATIONS: Jackson Wall, Ithing Prayitno
MUSIC: Veronica Tan
All of the art was created digitally using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Fresco. All of the individual assets were then assembled, rendered and animated using DoTween in Unity.
TITLE SCREEN
The title screen was made up of three layers; a gradient background, a repeating  pattern and a gradient overlay. These elements were created separately and then brought into Unity, where they were assembled and animated.

TOWN
The town is where the player spends most of their time, and what took me the longest to create. I created each of the elements separately, before assembling everything in the engine.
The town was created in stages. The first pass was to test the assets I had made and work out how big we wanted it to be. In the end, we extended the town twice, and had to add additional decorations due to the number of characters we ended up including.
